My name is Mandie Eldridge and I currently have a BA in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. For the past four years I have been in corporate recruiting and sales for the Bio-tech industry. I have always been extremely passionate about education and decided a year ago to return to school and fulfill my life-long dream of becoming an educator. I am now working towards my Secondary Education Licensure through Metropolitan State College of Denver. I am excited to share the beauty and knowledge of science with younger generations.

As far as my teaching philosophy, I believe that optimism and encouragement are the most powerful tools that teachers possess. I will strive to bring this to everyone of my students each day.

In my spare time I enjoy hiking, fishing snowboarding and enjoying great live music. I am a Colorado native and I jump at the opportunity to engulf myself in nature whenever possible. When I am not in the great outdoors, I enjoy spending my time with my husband, our two cats and my wonderful family. I'm and avid reader, and enjoy everything from non-fiction to books about biological and earth sciences.
